The properties are one and a half hours from Cherbourg, Caen and St Malo ferry ports and also from Dinan airport.

The house is situated on the edge of the Normandy National Park, which is ideal for walks and mountain biking. There are many local restaurants serving traditional French cuisine.

The village centre of Cherence-le-Roussel is only a 5 minute walk away and has a small gift shop and pizza restaurant. The town of Sourdeval can be found 10 minutes away by car and has a supermarket, various shops, restaurants and bars.
Within 10 minutes there is a 18 hole golf course with lake and water sports, the Enchanted Village which is perfect for children under 8, and the Moulin de le See museum telling the history of the valley. Mortain, with its Grande Cascade and Abbey, is also nearby.

A little further away is the Medieval town of Domfront with its narrow streets, timber framed houses and castle with its magnificent panoramic view. Other places of interest include Bagnoles which is a lakeside spa town hosting a golf course, museum, parks and walks, and Avranches, a lovely traditional town.

The house is not far from superb golden beaches and Mont St Michel.
